Light Grey Pure Georgette Lucknowi Chikankari Saree with Kamdani Work

A pure georgette saree from Lucknow in a light grey so soft it reads almost white in daylight. It is embroidered by hand in white chikankari, with large open flowers scattered across the body, and finished with kamdani: tiny points of flattened metal wire stitched into the fabric, so the whole saree catches the light with a quiet sparkle.

The embroidery grows richer towards the border and the pallu, where the flowers sit closer together and the kamdani is worked in dense clusters. White on pale grey keeps the work tone on tone, so it looks fine and detailed up close and calm from a distance.

Georgette is light and fluid and drapes close to the body, which makes this an easy saree to wear through a long evening. Made for day weddings, festive lunches, pujas and evening functions where you want something gentle and graceful. There is only one of this saree.

Silk, hand block printed crepe: 
Georgette and chiffon pieces too. Dry clean only. Store folded in a soft cotton or muslin cloth, away from direct sunlight and humidity, zari reacts badly to moisture and to synthetic storage bags. Keep perfume, deodorant, and hair oil away from the border and pallu. Refold along different creases every couple of months. Iron on reverse, or with a thin cotton cloth over the zari, on low heat.

Cotton:  
Hand wash cold, separately, for the first few washes. Don't wring, gently press out the water and dry flat or on a padded hanger, out of direct sun. Iron on the reverse side while slightly damp, medium heat. Store folded in a cotton or muslin cloth, away from humidity.

No returns or refunds for a change of mind. Exchange only for a manufacturing defect, reported within 7 days of delivery with a photo or video. Remedy is an exchange, or a refund if a suitable exchange isn't possible. If fall-hemming has been added, that piece is stitched to your measurements and is no longer eligible for exchange.

Handloom pieces vary slightly from each other and from the photos. That's part of being handwoven, not a defect, and screen colour can look different from the piece in hand depending on lighting. Why won't this come back once it's sold?
Because nothing here is made twice. A weaver doesn't reweave a piece to match, they move on to the next one. So once something sells, it's gone, not "notify me," not "coming soon," just gone.

Weavers and block printers we've worked with directly, over calls, in Varanasi, Lucknow, Bhagalpur, Kashmir, and Madhya Pradesh. Every piece is chosen by hand before it's ever photographed.

How do I know the piece I'm buying is really the one in the photo?
Ask to see it. A video call, the actual piece, before you pay. That's not a policy, it's just how this works here.
